A real estate professional who specializes in property management and rehabilitation of distressed properties, Solomon Morris Davis serves as the CEO of Somoda Management, Inc., headquartered in the Los Angeles suburb of Torrance, California. He studied business at both Los Angeles Community College and Los Angeles Southwest College and real estate at the Lumbeau School of Real Estate. A community-oriented businessman, Solomon Morris Davis enthusiastically supports programs such as the Los Angeles branch of Teenshop.
Teenshop was founded in 1985 in Philadelphia as a church program to enrich the lives of young women of color. The series of workshops aims to instill and enhance life skills and help members prepare for college.
Teenshop’s founder, Elleanor Jean Hendley, is a former public school teacher and television reporter focused on education news. She was personally aware of the positive impact of extracurricular activities on the development of self-esteem in school-age children.
For several years, Teenshop remained a church program. In 1990, Ms. Hendley established an affiliated group. Today, there are five chapters: three in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one in Camden, New Jersey; and one in Los Angeles, California.
